From my second attempt with my 35mm pinhole camera, made from a bar-of-soap box. It was a bit better than my first roll.

from my home-made pinhole camera, 35mm film
taken April 1, 2006
~5 second exposures
I learned: that exposure was too long for sunny-day outdoor shooting. I had to drag these images out of the negatives with some digital coaxing.

Tryon Creek State Park, southwest of Portland

I helped with an invasive plant clean-up, Saturday morning at Tryon Creek State Park. Between the parking lots was a picnic area. This tree had fallen right down the middle of the a picnic table, and clipped the corner of another. I don't know how long it has been there, but I'd guess not long.
We had a very wet January around here, along with some strong winds. When the ground gets soaked, the root balls of some trees become loose enough that a strong wind will push it over.
