Rudolph the White Stag Reindeer

*THE* icon of Portland's Christmas season, the sign formerly known as White Stag. (On this year-round sign, the nose is red only in December.)

I'm surprised this is (by far) my most-viewed pic on Flickr. It has been borrowed by a couple of other blogs (which is OK by me), so it must be getting click-through traffic from their visitors.

It was taken from the east side of the river, about a block north of the Burnside bridge, with my previous digital point-and-shooter at maximum zoom, stabilized by holding it against a pillar.
